New Systems for Saudi Air Bases

Atec, Inc. announced it had received an initial order for F100 test system modernization at two allied air base locations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. “This award follows a major site survey, needs assessment and cooperative meetings over the past year. We believe this is an early step in a coordinated, fast-paced effort to get airpower support systems modernized for our crucial Middle East allies,” said Brian Durbin, Vice President.

Atec is currently completing test cell upgrades for the Jordanian Air Force; with technical assistance from the engine OEM. Other such work has progressed in Egypt, Iraq, Bahrain, Morocco, Oman and other locations. Subsidiary Celtech Corp., a 40 year test stand provider, is also involved. Atec participated in the recent worldwide F100 conference hosted by Pratt & Whitney in Oklahoma, where Atec has a new office.

“Atec and Celtech combined, offer the USAF and its allies benchmark capabilities to repair, support, refresh, replace and add engine test infrastructure in a maximally compatible approach. Form, fit, function, familiarity and interface are all addressed to keep total costs low and usability high,” remarked Durbin.

Atec is a 62 year old aero-support firm headquartered in Houston, TX.
